Sadie Ann Lessard, 90, of Leslie Avenue in Claremont, NH passed away Tuesday morning, August 17, 2010 at her home.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Claremont, NH born on November 28, 1919, the daughter of Michael and Anna (Marro) Maiola.

She was a graduate of Stevens High School.

Sadie worked at Joy Manufacturing as a crane operator for 25 years. She was a member of the Claremont Country Club and a communicant of St Mary Church.

She loved her family, cooking, gardening, dancing and spending time with her sisters and brothers.

The surviving family includes her husband, Roland N. Lessard of Claremont whom she married in September of 1947; two sons, P. Michael Lessard and his wife, Marlene of Charlestown and Roland A. Lessard and his wife, Stephanie of Claremont; one daughter, Sherie A. Stariknok and her husband, Carl of Springfield, VT; five grandchildren, Michelle and her husband, Bill, Megan, Matthew, Jodie and Jami; five great grandchildren, Morgan, Rhiley, Britian, Jarquis and Jasanah; three brothers, Joseph Maiola of Barre, VT, Anthony Maiola of Newport and Rocco Maiola of Spokane, WA and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was pre-deceased by six sisters, Josephine Maiola age 11, Mary O’Mara in 2003, Carmela “Minnie” Maiola in 2004, Elizabeth “Betty” Harrington in 2007, Rose K. Gaspardino in 2007 and Lena T. Paradis in 2008.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont on Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning, August 21st at 11:00AM in the Stringer Funeral Home with Father Stanley J. Piwowar, officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
