Sandra Joan Palmer, 66, of Harmony Lane, Claremont, died Monday morning, August 2, 2010 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH following a brief illness.

She was born in Warren MA on October 14, 1943 the daughter of William and Thelma (Cummings) Humason and had resided in Claremont for the past twenty-five years.

She was the widow of Malcolm N. “Mac” Palmer whom she married on October 24, 1964 and he died March 11, 2003.

She was a member of the “Misfits Cruisers”.

Sandra devoted her life to her children and grandchildren.

The surviving family includes her son, Richard C. Palmer and his wife Melinda; her daughter, Darcy Palmer Tanguay; five grandchildren, Derrike and David Palmer, Kayla, Ryan and Brandon Tanguay all of Claremont;  a sister, Patricia Lavinio and her husband Aldo of Westfield, MA and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was pre-deceased by her granddaughter Shawna Barrette-Palmer on April 16, 2004. 

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad St, Claremont on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

A funeral service will be held Thursday morning, August 5th at Eleven O’Clock at the First Congregational Church with Rev. Donna Gage, Pastor, officiating.  Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, West Claremont.
