Shirley Gladys Ripley, 75, of Woodlawn Nursing Home and formerly of 7 Heritage Drive, died Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

She was born in Alstead, NH on May 22, 1935  and had resided in Claremont most of her life.

She attended the Laconia School System.

Shirley retired May of 1989 from the Sullivan County Nursing Home where she worked as a laundry attendant.

She was the widow of Leo Carl Ripley who died January 1, 2009.

The surviving family includes two sisters, Grace Thurston and Earla Jenison both of Claremont; nephews, Timothy Cheney of Charlestown, Thomas Russell, Earl Russell, William Cheney and Randy Russell all of Claremont and Charles Cheney of Newport; nieces,  Susan Cheney of Croydon, Bridget Cheney of Charlestown, Lisa Russell of Claremont and Jessica Russell of Unity; one Aunt, Gladys Winot of Claremont  also several great-nieces and nephews.

A time of sharing will be held Saturday afternoon, November 20th  from     11 to 2  at the Charlestown Memorial Veterans of Foreign War Post #8497 Hall on Lovers Lane Road in Charlestown.
