The children knew that she and Charlie’s home was always open to them. She was very involved with her parish, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Charlestown and very devout in her faith. She was also very involved in any parish function that went on and could always be seen helping out at bazaars, etc. She loved her Catholic Faith very much and was a very faithful adorer of the Blessed Sacrament every Thursday at St. Catherine of Siena Church and a very faithful parishioner until her illness confined her at home. Even though she could no longer attend Mass, you would find her at her home when you went to visit spending a great deal of her time in prayer. Violet loved classical music, to cook and entertain. She and Charlie would often invite neighbors and friends to their home for delicious meals and wonderful conversation.
