Arlene Thelma Beaudry, 90, of Hillside Terrace, Claremont, NH and formerly Green Street, died Wednesday morning, September 28, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Braintree, VT on September 22, 1921, the daughter of Roy and Eva M. (Bingham) Abbey and had resided in Claremont most of her life. She was employed at Green Mountain Sports Wear for several years. Arlene was a communicant of St. Mary Church and a member of the VFW Woman’s Auxiliary in Charlestown, NH. She was the widow of Herve’ Joseph Beaudry whom she married on February 13, 1943 and he died March 3, 2006. The family includes three daughters, Pauline DeCelle and her husband, Delos of Thurmond, NC, Audrey Paquette and her husband, John of Charlestown, NH and Pamela Davis and her husband, Alan of Claremont; two sons, Reginald Beaudry and Roger Beaudry both of Claremont; eleven grand-children; twenty-seven great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by six sisters, Florence in 1928, Stella in 1938, Ruby in 1965, Helen in 1967, Grace in 1977 and Esther in 1999; four brothers, Frank in 1963, Victor in 1979, Freeman in 1990 and Donald in 1999. Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad St, Claremont on Friday, September 30th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 1st at 10 AM in St. Mary Church with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. A Reception will follow at the Claremont Senior Center off Maple Ave. The family suggests that donations may be made in her memory to the Connecticut Valley Home Care/Hospice, 958 John Stark Highway, Newport, NH 03773-2609. |
