Armand Raymond Martin, 70, of Pine Ave in Claremont died Thursday, June 9th, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

 He was born on December 17, 1940, the son of Wilfred and Rita (Plante) Martin, in Wilton, NH. 

 He graduated from Wilton High School in 1959 and enlisted into the Marines the same year.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

 Mr. Martin worked for Aubuchon Hardware in Newport and then in Claremont for many years.

 The surviving family includes his wife Barbara; one brother Ed Martin, one son Jared Martin and his wife Christy, one daughter Tami Martin, a stepson Rob Sweetsir and his wife June, three grandchildren Alyssa, Jared (Buddy) and Tia Martin, also several nieces and nephews, and his best friend Harold Stricklane. (who Armand would always say he would cut in half and fight the both of them)

 A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 16th, at 1 PM at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, NH.  Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery with Millitary Honors.
