Belinda Martin Decker, 48, of North Charlestown passed away Tuesday morning, May 03, 2011 at her home. Belinda was a graduate of Hilliard High School in Ohio and the Ohio State University. Her love of travel and her zest for life brought her to New Hampshire as a traveling physical therapist after stops in Texas and Alaska. She found her true love, Scott Decker, here and settled in the picture perfect village of Charlestown. Belinda, with Linda Smith-Blaise, opened their own physical therapy practice, Therapeutic Connections in Physical Therapy in Claremont, a community where she was warmly embraced. The practice brought her tremendous personal and professional satisfaction. The accolades for her services were a testament to her skill and caring nature. Belinda lived life gracefully with a song in her heart and a dance in her step. Every day began with great hope and joyful anticipation for filling the hours in her day in the company of those she loved, family, friends and colleagues and those she served and ministered to in her work. Belinda is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Scott Decker, her beautiful daughter, Bethany Decker, her father, Gary Martin, her mother, Barbara Martin and her sister, Karen Martin McPhail. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 6th from 6-8 PM at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Church on Saturday morning, May 7th at 11:00 in the morning, with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien, Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Hope Hill Cemetery in North Charlestown. Belinda will be missed by many. As a testament and in honor of her caring nature, donations in her memory can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network 1-877-272-6226 (committed to advancing research, supporting patients and creating hope) and/or the Norris Cotton Cancer Center at DHMC 603-653-9000. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Connecticut Valley Home Care/Hospice. |
