She was the most proud of her children and grandchildren’s achievements. They would all say that one of the people who have had the greatest influence on their lives was Mum or their Nana with the support and love this incredible woman gave to them. Her children and grandchildren would go on to say that she impacted their lives in many ways with her unselfish giving of time, her talents of listening, and her ability to give wise council. She was always ready, at a moment’s notice, to serve a special meal to family and friends, while she nurtured their emotional needs. These and many other memories will be some of their fondest thoughts of this very special woman. Carol took pleasure in the simple things in life. She loved life, and when her health allowed her, she shared in her children and grandchildren’s accomplishments with her cheers and support she attended their sporting events and other activities. She also enjoyed feeding wild birds and seeing how many different species she could attract to her window, where she got many hours of pleasure all winter and spring. Carol was also an avid reader, who loved English history as well as fictional stories. She loved to listen to the rain, plant and grow flowers and express herself creatively through her paintings sewing and other artistic interests.
