Corinne “Connie” Elizabeth Cuthbert, 94, of Main Street, formerly of the Old Springfield Road in Charlestown, died Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the Springfield Health and Rehab Center in Springfield, VT. She was born in Winchester, NH on September 12, 1916 the daughter of Clarence B. and Lena (Sullivan) Mullett and had resided in Charlestown since 1941. Mrs. Cuthbert was a member of the Charlestown Congregational Church, the A.A.R.P. and the Senior Citizen Club. She had a collection of angels and loved flowers, flower arrangements, gardening, knitting afghans and in her later years knitting children’s mittens. She was the widow of Arnold R. Cuthbert whom she married on November 7, 1936 and he died on April 27, 1981. The surviving family includes one daughter, Judith Ann and her husband, James Kinson of Oakfield, ME; two grandsons, James Kinson, Jr. and Robert Kinson; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Bocher; seven great-grand-children; one nephew and several nieces. She was pre-deceased by an infant son, Charles Bruce Cuthbert; one brother, Cedric Mullett; five sisters, Katherine Mullett, Frances Searles, Irene Hebert, Madelyn French and Virginia Harmon. As per Connie’s wishes, there will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held Saturday afternoon, September 3rd at Two O’clock in Pine Crest Cemetery, Charlestown, NH with Rev. Janice Howe, Pastor of Alstead 3rd Congregational Church , officiating. Donations may be made in her memory to the Charlestown Visiting Nurses Association, P.O. Box 343, Charlestown, NH 03603. |
