Dian M. Laramie, 72, of James Street in Charlestown, died Friday evening October 7, 2011 at Springfield Hospital.

She was born in Palmer, MA on December 22, 1938 the daughter of Francis D. and Agnes M. (McDermott) Morrison and resided in Charlestown most of her life.

She was a teacher and tutor for Fall Mountain Regional School district.

Dian was a past leader in the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, 4H and the Charlestown swim team.

Dian married Robert L. Laramie on May 20, 1961 and enjoyed over forty- eight years together before his death on December 8, 2009.

The family includes two daughters, Michele Lacroix and her husband David of New Ipswich, NH and Beth Laramie of Claremont; two sons, Michael Laramie and his wife Arlene of Bartlett, NH and Matthew  Laramie and his wife Julie of Grantham, NH;  grandchildren, Justin Lacroix, Dylan Marsh, Krystyna Laramie, Drew Laramie, Ethan Marsh, Jennifer Laramie, Katherine Laramie, and Caroline Laramie; two sisters, Jill Lewellyn of Towanda, PA and Elizabeth Poisson of Newport, NH; one brother, Donald G. Morrison of New York, NY, also many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Monday evening from 5 to 7 PM.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday morning, October 11th at Eleven O’clock at the Funeral Home with Rev. Priscilla Hull officiating.

Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.
