Donald Albert Murray, 79, of Dostie Drive in Stewartstown, NH, died Monday morning, July 11, 2011 at the Elmwood Center in Claremont.

He was born in Windsor, Vermont on August 24, 1931 the son of Albert A. and Elizabeth Louise (Yaddow) Murray.

Don was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the United States Navy.

He had worked for Sturm Ruger as a machinist for many years.

Don was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

The family includes three sons, Burke A. Murray, Tim Murray and Scott Murray all of Lempster, NH; two daughters, Lori Murray of Newport, NH, Joyce Murray of Acton, ME; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth Murray of Newport, NH, Daniel Murray of Cornish, NH, Bruce Murray of Claremont, NH, his faithful companion and friend his dog Scooby.

He was predeceased by his longtime companion, Ruth Schultz and one brother, Clarence Murray.

Funeral services will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, NH on Friday, July 15^th at Eleven O’clock in the morning with Rev. Donna Leslie, Pastor of the Croydon Flat Church, Croydon, NH, officiating. 

Visiting hours will be held one hour prior to the service from 10-11 AM.
