Edward Joseph Belski, 96, of Spencer Avenue, Claremont died Monday morning, August 15, 2011 at the Sullivan County Care Center in Unity, NH.

He was born in Claremont, NH on July 2, 1915, the son of Ludwig and Blanche M. (Lewko) Belski and was a life-long resident of Claremont.

He was a graduate of Stevens High School.

Ed retired from Fellows Gear Shaper in Springfield, VT after thirty seven years.  He was an avid golfer and long time member of the Claremont Country Club.

Edward married Dorothy “Dody” B. LaClair on January 29, 1944.

The family includes his wife Dody of Claremont; one son, Thomas Belski of Newburyport, MA; one daughter, Patricia Chase and her husband Peter of Claremont; four grandchildren, Kevin Belski of Florida, Matthew Belski of Maryland, Corey Chase of Warren, New Jersey and Rebecca Morley of Enfield, NH; six great-grandchildren and one sister, Josephine Ferland of Claremont.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Belski; four brothers, Peter in 1928 and Stanley in 1930, Anthony Belski in 1992 and John Belski in 1997; three sisters, Emily Belski in 2001, Mary Keeley in 2002 and Lena Yesman.

Funeral services will be held privately.
