Elizabeth A. Brown, 79, of Route 10 in North Springfield, VT died Saturday afternoon February 26, 2011 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. She was born on December 13, 1931 in East Concord, VT, the daughter of Edith A. Smith and resided In Charlestown, NH for over forty years. Elizabeth worked for twenty years at Tambrands retiring in 1985. She married Isaac Brown on Aug. 5, 1950 and he died on April 2, 1987. She was a member of the Charlestown Senior Center, a volunteer at the Springfield Health and rehabilitation Center and the Charlestown Fort #4. She was an assistant den leader with the cub scouts, an active member of the Precision Valley Baptist Church in North Springfield, VT where she was a Sunday School teacher. Elizabeth read the Holy Bible daily. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed her birds especially the Cardinals, and loved her family very much. The family includes one son, Scott Brown and his wife Lisa of Charlestown; one daughter Pam Brown-Blanchard and her husband Steve of North Springfield, VT; seven grandchildren, Carolynne, Heather, Scott Jr., Sarah, Cristy, Tristan and Jenna; five great-grandchildren, Erich, Daniel, Olivia, Isaac and Madrix. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac; a son, Steven Brown; a brother, Wayne Smith and a sister, Grace Ferland. A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday evening, March 1st at 6pm at the Precision Valley Baptist Church, 66 Route 106, Springfield, VT with Pastor Dave Bentley presiding. Burial will be held privately in Pine Crest Cemetery Charlestown, NH. Donations may be made in her memory to the Precision Valley Baptist Church, PO Box 407, North Springfield, VT 05150.
