Elizabeth L. Temple, wife of the late Dr. Francis E. Temple, died July 25, 2011 at Springfield Health & Rehabilitation Center in Springfield, VT

She was born in East Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Marjorie (Winne) Colt.  She lived in Warwick, RI for 55 years before moving to New Hampshire in 2002.

Elizabeth was a Past President of the West Bay League of Women Voters, a Past Vice-President of the RI League of Women Voters and served on both boards in various positions.  She was a Past Secretary of the Warwick Municipal League and also the RI Home Rule Association.  She had served on two Warwick Charter Commissions and was a member of the Citizens Committee for Warwick Schools and a Past President of the Randall Holden P.T.A.

She was a communicant of the Church of the Transfiguration in Cranston and was Clerk of the Vestry for 29 years.  She was a family genealogist and a member of the Mayflower Descendants Society.

She leaves a daughter Christine T. Brannon of Charlestown, NH; one grandson, Mark T. Brannon of Boston, MA; one granddaughter, Kelley C. Brannon of Brooklyn, NY; one sister, Marianne E. Granger of Middle Granville, NY; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one brother, Hallock W. Colt of Warwick, RI.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at the Church of the Transfiguration in Cranston, RI.
