Gloria A. Cushman, 69, of Woodrise Road in Charlestown died Friday afternoon February 18, 2011 at Valley Region Hospital.

She was born in Claremont, NH on January 16, 1942 the daughter of Raymond Sr. and Rena (Merrill) Wilder and had resided in Charlestown all her life.  She was a 1960 graduate of Charlestown High School.

Gloria retired as secretary for Citation Mobile Homes in May

of 2001 and started to work for them in June of 1995.

Previously she had worked for Ames Department Store for seven years in the cash office.  She was a member of the Southern Vermont Old Time Fiddlers and has served as the secretary and treasurer.

She was a member of the Charlestown Senior Citizens. 

Gloria married her husband David W. Cushman in 1964.

The family includes her husband David; three daughters, Celeste Reis of Titusville, FL; Rowena Cushman of Claremont, NH; April Martin of Fairview, TN; one step daughter, Marie Fischer of Bellows Falls, VT; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; four great – grandchildren; also nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one step daughter Tammy Cushman in 1999 and one Brother Raymond J. Wilder Jr. on January 2011.

Graveside committal services will be held in the spring in Pine Crest Cemetery, Charlestown.
