Henry S. LeClair, 88, of Piper Hill Road in Claremont, died Friday afternoon, December 16, 2011 at Elm Wood Center at Claremont. He was a native and life long resident of Claremont, NH, born on June 7, 1923, the son of Harry and Flora L. (McKinnon) LeClair. Henry served in the 11th Army Airborne Division in Germany after WWII. He had owned and operated LeClair Acres Farm on Piper Hill Road and retired in 1976. Henry was a member of the Claremont Beagle Club and the National Rifle Association. He married Marion Ruth “Honey” (Hill) LeClair on October 8, 1950 and she passed away on October 31, 2006. The family includes two sons, Gary D. LeClair and his wife, Jean and Jeffrey K. LeClair, both of Claremont; one daughter, Lynn L. Moore of Roxbury, MA; four grandsons, Jason and his wife, Tonya, Timothy and his wife Cory, Daniel and Thomas; two great-grandsons, Troy and Matthew; one brother, Andrew LeClair of Walpole; two sisters, Beryl Matson of NY and Lucille Beauchamp of MA and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Harry E. LeClair and Ralph LeClair; three sisters, Hope M. Cram, Arlene Kuchtey and Hazel Breault A Graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday December 21st at 11AM in the Hope Hill Cemetery in North Charlestown, with Pastor Patricia Wells of the North Charlestown Methodist Church, officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Funeral arrangements are with the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, NH. The family suggests that donations be made in his memory to Norris Cotton Cancer Center, One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756. |
