John Hoyt, 37, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, July 29, 2011 in Claremont, NH. He was born in Claremont, NH on February 2, 1974 the son of Sidney Hoyt and Linda Patch. John was a graduate of Stevens High School in the Class of 1992. He had worked for MRS Modified Racing Series as a series director and had previously worked for Twin State Speedway. He had been involved in racing since he was in high school. He was involved with modified racing series, feather lights and prostocks, he worked with Mike Brousseau, Ricky Miller and many others. He had also co-founded the Granite State Modified Series. John enjoyed BBQ’s with family and friends along with having a good time at the trifectas. The family includes his wife Sue (Carignan) Hoyt, one son, Alexander Hoyt; three daughters, Ashlee Hoyt, Sammantha Hoyt, Rose Hoyt, all of Claremont; his father, Sidney Hoyt of Claremont; two sisters, Cathy Pellerin, Tammy Lacasse; his aunt and uncle, Don and Lee Collins; special friends, Mike Parks, Scott Miller, Jet Miller and Jay Caruso. He was predeceased by hir mother, Linda Patch on July 27, 2007; paternal grandmother, Rose Hoyt on December 8, 2004; one nephew, Aaron Branch on November 25, 2007 and one aunt, Lois Krim. Friends and family may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, NH on Monday, August 1st from 6-8 PM. Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 2nd at Eleven O’clock in the West Claremont Burying Ground on Old Church Road in Claremont. The family suggest donations be made to the Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses. |
