Keith Ashley Plummer, Sr., 81, of Case Hill Road in Claremont, NH, died Thursday evening, December 8, 2011 at his daughter’s home on Case Hill Road surrounded by loved ones.

He was born in Brunswick, ME on July 21, 1930 the son of Russell and Drucilla (Goodwin) Plummer and had resided in Claremont for the past five years.  He lived in Rockwood, ME from 1930 to 1935 and in Lisbon Falls, ME for 71 years.

The thing that he enjoyed most was time with family.

 He was a long time fan of singer, song writer Tom T. Hall and one of his final wishes was to meet him. Tom T. and his wife Dixie granted this wish last month having Mr. Plummer visit their home and attend a Tom T. performance in Nashville.

Mr. Plummer was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the US Navy.

He retired from the Pejepscot Paper Co. in 1990 where he worked as a paper maker for 37 years and later worked for 5 years for Uni-First Corp. in South Portland, ME.

Mr. Plummer was a member of the Coombs-Mountfort  American Legion Post # 158 in Lisbon, ME, the Slovac Catholic Association of Lisbon Falls, ME and the United Paper Workers Int. Union.

He was the widower of Lola (Turcotte) Plummer whom he married on Oct. 9, 1953 and she died in 2008.

The surviving family includes two daughters,  Denise and her husband Roland Cornish of Claremont and Rebecca  and her husband Jeffrey Gracie of Washington, ME;  one son, Keith A. Plummer, Jr.  and his wife, Dawn of Saratoga Springs, NY;  5 granddaughters, Brandi and her husband Will Douglass of Clarksville, TN, Hailie and her husband Brian DeCelle of Claremont, Katie Plummer and fiancé  Zachary Blair of Albany, NY, Meghan Small of Washington, ME, Bridgette Plummer of Saratoga Springs, NY; three step grandchildren, Sarah Cornish of Auburn, ME Joshua Cornish and his wife Jennifer of Turner, ME, Willie Cornish of Colorado;  six great-grandchildren,  Ben, Liam and Amelia Douglass, Aiden and Ruby DeCelle and Tyler Cornish;  two sisters, Constance Holvey of Wooster, OH and Claudia Plummer of Corpus Christi, TX; two brothers, Russell Plummer  and his partner, Edith and David Plummer and his wife, Janice all of  Lisbon, ME;  several nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Paul Turcotte and his wife, Jeanine of Port St. Lucie, FL, Ronald Turcotte and his wife, Patricia of Lisbon Falls, ME and Dennis Turcotte and his wife, Maureen of Lewiston, ME.

He was pre-deceased by his parents, his wife, a sister, Corinne and a brother, Thomas.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 17th at Eleven O’clock at St. Matthews Church in Lisbon Falls, ME. There will be a gathering to celebrate the life of “Skeeter” Plummer immediately following the service.

Interment will be at a later date in Burr Cemetery in Freeport, ME.
