Marion Kelly Ferriter, 95, of Harmony Lane, Claremont, NH, formerly of  Myrtle Street and Foisy Hill Road, died Monday evening, August 1, 2011 at her home.

 She was born in New York City, NY on December 12, 1915 the daughter of Joseph M. and Rose M. (Anderle) Kelly and had resided in Claremont since 1946.

She completed two years of secretarial training at the Katharine Gibbs School in NYC and Bermuda.  After this she became office manager of Ducks Unlimited, Inc. in NYC until her marriage to Dr. William B. Ferriter of Brattleboro, VT.  They were married on April 4, 1942, at St. Joseph’s Church in Bronxville, NY by Monsignor McCarthy.

She was a member of the Ladies Union Aid Society and Court Virgil H. Barber  #892 Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

She was the widow of Dr. William B. Ferriter, MD  who died Aug. 15, 2007.

The surviving family includes one daughter, Eileen Bennett of Claremont; two sons, Dr. William B. Ferriter, Jr. and his wife, Diane of Thetford, VT and Matthew Ferriter and his wife,  Diana of East Greenwich, RI; six grandchildren, Bridget Fillo, Erin Clabaugh, Scott Ferriter, Lindsay Ferriter, A.J. Ferriter and M. Luke Ferriter;  five great-grandchildren, Keely Fillo, Patrick Fillo, William Fillo, Laura Clabaugh and Tess Clabaugh; also nieces and nephews.

There are no visiting hours.

A private memorial service will be held at the Stringer Funeral with Rev. Father Stanley J. Piwowar, officiating.
