Maryanne Rae Greenwood, 48, of Eastman Loop, Unity, NH died peacefully at her home Wednesday, evening, April 20, 2011 after her valiant battle with cancer, with friends and family at her side. She was born in Claremont, NH on December 22, 1962 the daughter of Raymond “Woody” and Mary (Suhesky) Woods and lived on Main Street and Chestnut Street Extension during her early years. She subsequently moved to Unity with her husband and resided there until her death. Maryanne had owned and operated her own cleaning business for several years, serving the Sunapee, Newport and New London area. She also worked as a waitress for several local restaurants including, Busters, The Indian Shutters and up until February at A-J’s in White River Junction. The family includes her husband, Dennis A. Greenwood who she married on August 7, 1993; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dennis and Joan Greenwood of Claremont; brother, Tom Osipowich and his wife, Kate of Windsor, CA; sister-in-law, Diane Osipowich of LaGrange, IN; niece, Halle Fehr of Windsor, CA; two nephews, David Osipowich of VA, Alex Osipowich of CO and one aunt, Charlotte Woods of Claremont. She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Stephen Osipowich and David Osipowich. At her request, there will be no visiting hours or funeral services at this time. A celebration of life will be held this summer, at the families’ convenience. Maryanne loved life, the beauty and lifestyle of New Hampshire and the many friendships she developed over the years. She enjoyed people and could either dress up or down, depending on the occasion. “What you see is what you got” is how she would describe herself. She truly loved her husband of 18 years and her family and “kids” – two Golden Retievers, Luke and Molly, and her silly cat Gunner. Her abundant energy, smile and laugh will be sorely missed. The family would like to thank Dr. Dragnev, RN-NP Paula Caron and the Cancer Center employees at DHMC for their care and support. Also, Donna, Janine, Sue and all at the Connecticut Valley Home/Hospice for providing her respect and dignity during her final days; and to her many neighbors and friends for their comfort and presence when needed most. A special thank you to Tina, Harriet and Liz for two days of continuous vigilance and love. The family suggests that donations may be made in her memory to Connecticut Valley Home Care/Hospice, 958 John Stark Highway, Newport, NH 03773-2609. |
