Patricia Ann Sanborn, 77, of 67 Maple Avenue, Claremont died April 23, 2011 at Valley Regional Hospital.

She was born on August 17, 1933 in Windsor VT the daughter of Narcisse and Julia (Cheever) Patenaude.

She graduated from Stevens High School in the class of 1951 and was the first prom queen at Stevens.

Pat worked for the Claremont school district at Bluff School as a noon aide then become a teacher’s aide. In 1980 she took the position as the first librarian at the school.

Pat was generous in volunteering her time at many daily events at the Earl Bourdon Center.

The family includes one daughter, Beth Chase of Charlestown, NH; one son, Alan Beagan and his wife, Diane of Melrose, MA; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Arnold in 2008 and a brother, James Patenaude.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, April 30^th at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont at 11AM with Rev. Peter Howe, officiating. Burial will be held privately at a later date.

Visiting hours will be held from 10 to 11 AM prior to the funeral service.
