Patricia Florence Ueda of Harmony Lane in Claremont died peacefully on Tuesday evening, May 17, 2011 after a brief illness at Valley Regional Hospital. She was born on June 17, 1933, the daughter of Bert & Helene (Nagel) Ruud in Chicago, IL. She moved to Claremont with her husband and four children in 1961.

In her early days she was active in 4-H and the Girl Scouts and served as a volunteer at the old Claremont General Hospital. She loved all animals from birds to cats and dogs and loved to feed the squirrels, deer, raccoons and foxes or whom ever roamed in the back woods even if they ate her tulips and other flowers.

She was predeceased by her parents and her daughter Robin C. Ueda. The family includes her husband Herbert T. Ueda whom she married in 1954; two sisters, Eleanor Cristobal of Brunswick, GA, Roberta O’Donnell of Port Ritchie, FL, a son Bruce L. Ueda and wife Nancy of Claremont, a daughter Holly J. Ueda of West Lebanon, NH and a son Herbert T. Ueda, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Rollinsford, NH, grandchildren Kasey and wife Krissy, Aubrey Silver, Brock Ueda and wife Carrie, Sam Ueda, Ty Ueda, and three great-grandchildren.

At Patricia’s request, there will be no funeral services.
