Rita J. Ellison, 61 of Claremont NH died suddenly July14, 2011 at her home.  She was born in New York on July 19 1949 the daughter of Eugene and Jeannette (Simard) Ellison.

Rita received her nursing degree from Thompson School of Nursing and worked at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont for thirty years.

She was a dedicated night supervisor always there to help others.

Rita enjoyed visiting Shelburne Falls, MA to see the bridge of flowers and the beautiful pole holes.

The family includes her mother, Jeannett Perkins; three daughters, Lisa Herne of Deering, NH, Coralee Husband of Windsor, VT and Emily Brooke Bernard of Claremont, NH; fourteen grandchildren, Scott Michael Campbell, January Bresett, Hailie Herne, Matt Husband, Holly Husband, Jennifer Byrd, Jessica Byrd, Ashley Husband, Morgan Husband, Scott Andrew Campbell Tanner Kevin Oxton, Brittani Owen, Cameron Oxton and Gabriel Oxton; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Gloria Bronson; extended family, Virginia West, Debbie LaCasse, Linda Belanger, Calvin Frost and Susan Kwasneski.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 20^th from 2 to 6pm at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont.

Funeral Services will follow at 6pm with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien, Pastor of St. Mary’s Church, officiating.

The family suggest donations be made to the Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
