Rita Rose Fleury, 85 of Roberts Hill Road, Claremont, NH died June 10, 2011 at Valley Regional Hospital.

She was born in North Troy, VT on November 14, 1925, the daughter of Emery and Antoinette (Arel) Ferland and had resided in Claremont most of her life.

She retired in 1976 from the Sunapee Shoe Shop in Newport, NH as a stitcher and also worked for Sportwelt of Newport and International Shoe Shop of Claremont.

She was a communicant of St. Mary Church.

Members of her surviving family include her husband, Victor Albert Fleury of Claremont; one son,Robert D. Dumont; four sisters, Rolande St. Pierre, Claire Ryan, Simone Stereur and Annette Tebo; two brothers, Henry Ferland and Donald Ferland;  a stepson, David Fleury, two step-daughters, Brenda Clawson and Peggy Fleury; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one step-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was pre-deceased by her first husband, Crawford Dumont, on June 10, 1968; three sons, Kenneth Dumont, Donald Dumont and Bruce Dumont and a brother Alfred Ferland.

An evening of visiting will be held on June 12^th from 6 to 8PM at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont, NH.

Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday morning at 10AM with Father Stanley J. Piwowar, officiating. Burial will follow immediately in St. Mary Cemetery.
