Robert Earl Black, Sr., born on May 15, 1928 passed away at his home on April 25, 2011. He was 82 years old.

Mr. Black was a resident of Charlestown, NH for 15 years and a resident of Milford, CT for 30+ years.

Mr. Black served on the USS Rochester for 4 years.

He enjoyed photography, for which he won several awards, golf, model building, puzzle building and bowling.

He is survived by his wife, Marion; one son, Robert E. Black Jr. of CT; one daughter, Cynthia Barrett of CT; two grandchildren, Jenna and Michael and one sister, Joan A Chadbourne of Milford, CT; four nephews and three nieces.

He was pre-deceased by one son, Ronald P. Black and one brother, Harley S. Black.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Catherine’s Church, Main Street, Charlestown, NH at 11:00AM on Saturday morning, April 30^th with Rev. Father Michael Gendron pastor, officiating.

Arrangements are with the Charlestown Memorial Chapel, 34 Main Street, Charlestown, NH 03603.
