Shirley Ann Hurst, 71, of State Street, Windsor, VT died March 30, 2011, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine.

She was born in Claremont, NH on August 24, 1939 the daughter of Albert and Alice (John) Amell.

She had lived in Windsor, VT for the past 5 years and in Randolph, VT for 22 years and in Nashua, NH for 10 years.

Shirley enjoyed playing bingo, going on casino trips, spending time with family and spending time with her friends at Olde Windsor Village.

The family includes four daughters, Laurie A Kendall of Windsor, VT, Diane M. Martel and her husband Jeffrey of Phoenix, AZ, Valerie J. Pecora and her husband, James of Phoenix, AZ, Michelle R. Labonte and her husband, Todd of Saco, ME; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters Rosemary and Maryann.

She is predeceased by her husband, Raymond H. Hurst whom she married on January 11, 1974 and he died in 1998.

Visiting hours will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont NH Monday April 4th afternoon from 4 to 6 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Church on Tuesday, April 5th at 10AM with Rev. Shawn M. Therrien, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be held in the spring in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center, VT.
