Steven Allen Vigneault, 60 died suddenly on July 30, 2011 near his beloved home in the hills of Eva, Tenn. He was born in Amesbury, Mass. on December 21, 1950 the son of Normand and Gertrude (Weeks) Vigneault. He had lived in Amesbury and Merrimac, Mass., Hampton and Seabrook, NH, Chester, VT and settled in Eva, Tenn. Steve had been an accomplished baseball player, avid snowmobiler and golfer and had many motorcycle adventures throughout the USA and Canada. He enjoyed meeting people, cards, flea markets and buying and selling antiques and collectables. He loved to cook with hearty soups, stews and bread as specialties. He had been a master industrial electrician at the Bailey Corp. in Amesbury and Seabrook and other manufacturing facilities and most recently at power plants on the Tennessee River. He is survived by his mother, Gertrude of Brentwood, NH, a sister, Deborah Vigneault and her partner Sue Edwards of Plaistow, NH, brothers, Richard of Brentwood and Bill of Claremont, sisters-in-law, Brenda of Claremont with whom he had a special bond and Cindy of Brentwood, also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He is also survived by his special friend, Peggy Grogan of Dyersburg, Tenn. and lastly his faithful dog, “Little Eva”. Survivors also include his many friends in New England and Tennessee that meant so much to him. Donations in his name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, a Humane Society or Animal Shelter of one’s choice. A memorial service will be held at a time and place of the family’s convenience, to be announced later. |
