Adele A. Kamel, 94, of Mayflower Dr., Merrimack, NH, died Tuesday morning, March 13, 2012 at the Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare in Nashua, NH. She was born in Stoughton, MA, but grew up on a farm in Newbury, NH, a place of her fondest memories. Adele and her husband Nick raised their family in Claremont, NH. Adele was a very creative person. Oil painting and writing were her greatest loves. She worked on the Claremont Daily Eagle, spent summers doing recreation work for the playgrounds. She was a Girl Scout leader for ten years and a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church. The surviving members of her family include her daughters, Linda Zekos and Kay Anderson of Nashua, NH; a son, Robert Kamel of Peterborough, NH, and a sister, Jane McGonagle. Her six grandchildren include Erika Zekos Noble, Amy Dolan, Melissa Higgins, Richard Cole, Jennifer Kamel and Christopher Kamel. Her great grandchildren include Zofia and Oliver Noble and David and Seth Higgins. She is pre-deceased by her parents Leon and Sofia (Szymkiewicz) Rogalski, her husband Nathan, and a sister Jeanette Rawn and brother Walter Rogalski. Funeral services will be held, Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Eleven O’clock in the Trinity Episcopal Church with Rev. Susan Langle, Rector, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to going to church. The family suggests that donations may be made in her memory to the charity of one’s choice. |
