Alfred Nezaire Meunier, 85, of Allen Road in Lempster, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at his home.

He was born in Barton, VT on April 1, 1927, the son of Joseph A. and Delia A. (Valley) Meunier.

Alfred was a veteran of World War II having served in the US Navy.

He had worked for Jones & Lamson Machine Tool Company in Springfield, VT as a machinist for several years.

The surviving family includes several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by one brother, Robert R. Meunier in 1995; six sisters, Elaine Mazonna in 2008, Elizabeth Rita Travis in 2007, Yvette C. Meunier in 2000, Doris A. Frasier in 1998, Madeleine J. Horton in 1979 and Lucille E. Godek in 1971.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Eleven O’clock in the morning at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien, Pastor of St. Mary Church, officiating.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11am.

Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
