Calvin Bruce Underwood, 25, of Waynesboro, VA died Monday, March 5, 2012 at Augusta Hospital in Virginia.

He was born in Springfield, VT on October 30, 1986 the son of Bruce Calvin and Delores Lorraine (McPhee) Underwood.

He attended Newport High School.

Calvin loved New Hampshire and the outdoors.  He had a passion for music and knew how to enjoy life.  He was raised in Claremont and moved to Virginia for the past several years to live with and help take care of his mother and father.

Calvin was a very spiritual man who believed he had a strong personal relationship with God.  He enjoyed sharing his thoughts on politics and religion being very careful to respect other’s beliefs as well. 

He loved his family and friends very much and found peace in spending time with them.  Calvin loved to make people laugh and often helped friends and family with his wonderful sense of humor. He was loved by many and had a heart of gold.

The family includes his mother and father; his brother, Shon Kennett of Claremont; his sister, Sonya Woodhams of Unity; his sister, Brandy Clark of Maine; his brother, Van Underwood of Walpole; his sister, Misty Butterfield of Maine; his great grandmother, Thelma Keysti of Unity and also several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont from 12:00PM to 2:00PM prior to the service.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 14^th at 2:00PM in the funeral home with Pastor Scott Kearns, officiating.

Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
