Caroline Virginia (Wolfe) Anderson, 82, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter and son in-law, June 3, 2012, where she lived for the past 11 years.

Carol was born on July 14, 1929 in Michigan City, Indiana, the daughter of Walter and Jeanette (Wolk) Wolfe.  She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Michigan City.  Carol resided in Claremont and Newport, NH and then Port Charlotte, FL for 17 years.  Thereafter she returned to NH living in Unity.  She was employed in the purchasing department at Joy Manufacturing Company in Michigan City and Claremont.  Once in Florida prior to her retirement, Carol worked for a group of Radiologists in Port Charlotte.

Carol enjoyed gardening, playing cards, watching the birds, and beautiful mountains.  She especially enjoyed the Red Sox. She was a past member of the Claremont and Newport Golf Clubs as well as the local Moose Lodges.

Members of her surviving family include her daughter Patricia and son-in-law Robert Barrette of Unity, NH; a brother and sister-in-law Walter E. and Ann Wolfe of Rolling Prairie, Indiana as well as nieces and nephews. 

She was pre-deceased by her husband Roger (September 8, 2002), a sister Barbara Ruetz and brother Richard Wolfe.

The Stringer Funeral Home and Crematorium, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, NH, is in charge of arrangements.  Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
