Carolyn Heath Chabot died on January 21, 2012 in Granville NY with family at her side. She was born on June 18, 1918 in Hardwick, VT, the daughter of William and Charity (Bromley) Heath. Carolyn graduated from Hardwick High School in 1937. She and Louis Chabot of Hardwick were both working at the Brattleboro Retreat in Brattleboro VT when they were married on Valentine's Day 1939. After they moved to Claremont NH, Carolyn worked at Goddard’s Bakery in Claremont, Sylvania in Hillsborough, then at Split Ball Bearing in Lebanon. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis E. Chabot, and an infant son, Frederick. Survivors include her sister Priscilla of South Ryegate VT, a son, Louis Chabot Jr. and his wife Shirley of Sun City CA., 4 daughters; Audrey Putnam and her husband John of Bluffton SC; Frances Emond and her husband Michael of Granville NY; Susan Jewell and her friend Kevin Kelly of Lake Norman NC; and Barbara Migdal and her husband Ira of Contoocook NH, her friend and sister-in-law Louise Howard of East Hardwick VT, several nieces and nephews, 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at One O’clock in the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont with Rev. Father Stanley J. Piwowar, officiating. Interment will follow in St Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12 noon until the services at one. |
