Catherine Elizabeth Boivin, 94, formerly of Fitch Reservoir Road and previously of 243 Broad Street and for many years at 63 Spring Street in Claremont, died Thursday evening, September 20, 2012 at Sullivan County Health Care in Unity, NH.
She was a native and life long resident of Claremont, NH, born on July 28, 1918 the daughter of Ralph M. and Donna B. (Coolidge) Cook Cushing.
She worked at several shoe shops in the area and retired from Encore Shoe in 1983.
She was the widow of Ronald J. “Pete” Boivin who died on September 11, 1980 and also pre-deceased by one son, Norman L. Boivin who died May 8, 1997.
The surviving family includes one son, Michael Boivin Sr. and his wife, Donna their five children and two grandchildren; two daughters, Janet M. Morin and her husband, Leon their four children, eight grandchildren, six step grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and Linda Maccioli Leonard and her husband Allan their three children and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home on Monday, September 24th at 11:00 AM with Pastor Priscilla Hull, officiating.
Friends may call from 10-11 prior to the service.
Burial will follow in the Homeland Cemetery in Bristol, NH with her grandparents, Charles W. and “Kate” Coolidge.
