Eleanor Jane Berube, 83, of The Sullivan County Nursing Home and had resided on Perrotto Avenue in Claremont for forty-eight years died Monday evening, September 17, 2012.

She was born in Lancaster, NH on June 8, 1929 the daughter of Alfred and Alice Piche. She was a graduate of Lancaster High School and Leslie College in Cambridge, MA where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. Mrs. Berube was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, a member of Court Virgil H. Barber #892 Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the Lioness Club all of Claremont.

The surviving family includes her husband, Rudolph George Aime' Joseph Berube of Unity whom she married on August 2, 1952; two daughters, Ronnalee Mulkern and her husband, Robert of Norton, MA and Bette Shattuck and her husband, Jay of Claremont; one son, Peter Berube and his wife, Ellen of Charlestown and many nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Mary Berube who died July 14, 1971; two brothers, Howard Piche, William Piche and one sister, Beverly Foss.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 21st at 11am in the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont with Rev. Father Stanley J. Piwowar, officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
