Franklin Clinton Walker, Sr., 80, of Whitewater Brook Road, Cornish, NH, died Tuesday morning, August 7, 2012 at the Mount Ascutney Hospital in Windsor, VT, surrounded by family.

He was born in Unity, NH on March 30, 1932 the son of Willard H. and Adelaide (Gay) Walker. 

He was a 1950 graduate of Charlestown High School.

Franklin had owned and operated his farm in Cornish for many years, he also worked for Idlenot Dairy as a route driver for 25 years, and previously for Cone Blanchard Automatic, Agway and Presto Grain.

Franklin was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener.

He enjoyed going to Florida in the winter, cutting wood and tinkering around the house, especially on cars.

The family includes his wife, Patricia A. (Demers) Walker of Cornish whom he married on June 26, 1954; seven sons, Allan Walker and his girlfriend, Bonnie of Haines City, FL, Franklin Walker, Jr. and his wife, Debra of West Hartford, VT, Bradley Walker and his wife, Cammy of Clearwater, FL, Michael Walker and his wife, Audrey of Grantham, NH, Scott Walker and his wife, Connie of Plainfield, NH, Gregory Walker and his, girlfriend, Melanie of Richmond, VT, David Walker and his wife, Julie of Orange City, FL; fourteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren with one on the way; one brother, Theodore Walker of North Charlestown; three sisters, Shirley Dunn of Keene, NH, Virginia Brisson of Nashua, NH and Venice, FL and Roberta Callum of Unity, NH; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 10th at 11:00 AM at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, with Pastor Priscilla Hull, officiating.

Interment will follow in Hope Hill Cemetery, Charlestown, NH.
