Gordon John Henry Wadleigh, 88, of Unity, NH died on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Sullivan County Health Care.

He was born In Claremont, NH on August 2, 1924 the son of Wilfred and Edith (Hall) Wadleigh.

He was a graduate of Stevens High School.

He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Air Force from 1943 to 1946.

Gordon worked at Joy Manufacturing as a machinist for 33 years.

He was the widow of Helen (Richardson) Wadleigh, who passed away on June 24, 2005.

The family includes three sons, Owen Wadleigh and his wife, Terri of Unity, NH, Kevin Wadleigh and his fiancé, Linda Springer of Topsham, VT and Gary Wadleigh and his wife, Joanne of Raleigh, NC; two grandchildren, Meghan and Kyle.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, on Friday, September 21^st from 6-8 PM.

Memorial service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday at Two O’clock in the afternoon.

Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Claremont with military honors.
