Harry F. “Skip” Jones, 80, formerly of Center Road in Cornish died Monday afternoon January 16, 2012 at the Sullivan County Nursing Home in Unity. He was born in Hanover, NH on October 5, 1931 the son of Harry R. and Susan M. (Strong) Jones and had resided in Cornish for more than forty years. Harry was a saw mill worker for Tri State Lumber from 1976 to 2000. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia A. (Ryea) Jones on July 13, 2001, by an infant son in 1959 and a two year old daughter, Violet Ann Jones on Oct. 1, 1966. The family includes one daughter, Tina Marie Gover and her husband, Russ; one son, Casey Paul Jones all of Cornish; four grandchildren, Shawn LaClair and his companion Gigi Geneo, Andy LaClair and his wife Emily, Tiffany Jones and Angela Jones; two great grandchildren; Jordan LaClair and Mariley LaClair; also nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Friday evening January 20th from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, January 21st at Eleven O’Clock at the Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Louise Nicholas, Pastor of the United Church of Cornish, officiating. Graveside committal services for Harry F. “Skip” Jones, 80, formerly of Center Road in Cornish who died January 16, 2012 at the Sullivan County Nursing Home in Unity, will be held Saturday, May 26th at 2PM in the Penniman Cemetery in Meriden, NH. |
