James J. Purdie, Jr., 59, of Mica Mine Road died on Tuesday, December 4, 2012.

He was born in Norwalk, CT on December 26, 1952 the son of James J. and Gloria (Sacrider) Purdie, Sr.

He graduated from high school in Bethel, CT and attended college in Danbury, CT.

James was a disabled vet having served in the US Air Force during Vietnam.

He enjoyed reading, walking his dogs and exercising. He taught karate in his younger years.

His family includes his mother, Gloria Whitlock of Unity; one brother, Gene Purdie of Simsbury, CT; 3 nieces and 5 nephews.

There will be no visiting hours or services.
