Jeannette Marie Laliberte, 96, formerly of Claremont, died, Monday, afternoon, February 20, 2012, at the Golden Crest Resort Assisted Living in Franklin, NH. She was born in St. Perpetue, Cte L’ilet, Province of Quebec, Canada on September 24, 1915, the daughter of Louis and Alma Duval. She had lived in St. Romuald, PQ Canada for ten years. In 1959, the family moved to Charlestown, NH, briefly, then built a home in Claremont. She made Claremont her home for forty-four years. Jeannette moved to Plymouth, NH, then to Franklin, NH, where she has resided for the past 8 years. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church and a member of the St. Anne Society. She was the widow of Leo Laliberte, whom she married on July 13, 1949 and he died on March 25, 1972. The family includes three sons, Denis Laliberte and his wife, Pauline of Deering, NH, Michel Laliberte and his wife, Lisa of Saxtons River, VT, Gaetan Laliberte his wife, Agathe of Laval, PQ Canada; two daughters, Monique Waryas and her husband, Paul of New Port Richey, FL, Rejeanne Walsh and her husband, Bob of Plymouth, NH; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Therese Chouinard of St. Jean Port Joli, PQ Canada; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by five brothers, Armand Duval, Laurent Duval, Romeo Duval, Maurice Duval, and Jean-Paul Duval and three sisters, Marie Ange Duval, Adrienne LaRoche, and Rita Bouchard. Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, NH, on Friday, February 24th from 6-8 PM and on Saturday, February 25th from 9-10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary Church in Claremont on Saturday, February 25th at Eleven O’clock with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. The family suggests that donations may be made in her memory to St. Mary Church Renovation Fund, 32 Pearl Street, Claremont, NH 03743. |
