Joan G. Edwards, 68, of Sullivan County Nursing Home, Unity, died Monday morning, March 26, 2012 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

She was born in Boston, MA on December 18, 1943 the daughter of Charles and Muriel (Reid) Gariboldi.

She had worked at the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital in the billing office.

Joan was an avid Red Sox, Bruins, Patriots and Celtics fan.

The family includes one son, Joe Edwards of Vernon, VT; two daughters, Janeen Smith and her husband, Michael of Charlestown and Justine Steele and her husband, Robert of Springfield, VT; eight grandchildren, Suzanna Edwards, James Edwards, Alexis Edwards, Crystal Smith, Sarah Smith, Isabelle Smith, Persephone Steele and Athena Steele; one sister, Marie Sulinski of South Carolina.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Friday afternoon from 1 to 3 PM.

Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon, March 30^th at Three O’clock in the afternoon at the Funeral Home with Father Stephen Lepine, Pastor of St. Catherine’s Church in Charlestown, officiating.

Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery in Charlestown.
