Leonard “Spunky” A. Deline, 64, of Spofford Street in Claremont died on November 30, 2012 unexpectedly at home.

He was born in Middlebury, VT on July 30, 1948 the son of Herbert Leonard and Mary Jane (Quesnel) Deline.

He moved to Claremont as a young boy. He attended Stevens High School and joined the US Marines during Vietnam from 1967 to 1969.

His passions were fishing especially with his best friend, Larry Ayer. He also enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He loved his family, friends and all animals. He was a very kind hearted man that will never be forgotten.

The family includes his wife of 19 years, Marie Louise Deline; his father, Herbert Deline; two sons, Damien Deline and his wife, Kim of Claremont and Derek Deline of Concord; two daughters, Shelly Deline of Claremont and Shay Deline of VT; his sister, Diana Bloch and her husband, Jim of Virginia Beach, VA; his step sons, Steven Trezon and Corie of New Bedford, MA, Tom Sewall and Heidi of Claremont, Tim Sewall and Martha of Claremont and Randy Sewall and Courtney of Claremont; 17 grandchildren, Brittany, Connor, Curtis, Natalie, Faith, Devon, Tommy, Makayla, Jocelyn, Myrah, Ari, Johana, Derek, Dustin, Alyssa, Jacob and Sebastian; 3 great grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and too many friends to mention.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jane Deline on February 13, 2011.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday night, December 5, 2012 at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont from 6 to 8PM.

The Claremont America Legion Post # 29 will conduct a military service at 8PM.
