Lloyd C.
Carpenter, 59, of Acer Heights, died Wednesday afternoon at the Valley
Regional Hospital after a long battle with caner.
He was born
on July 31, 1952.
Lloyd had
graduated from Mount Mansfield High School, Jericho, Vermont in 1970.
Almost
there...up the hill, second house on the right, lucky number 13.
Lucky...The luckiest family in this universe. A simple brick house with
a red door...but behind that red door and those simple brick walls lies
a story, and a bond so special no one could ever take it away. The home
where a strong, hard working, brilliant man started his life with his
beautiful loving, caring, and passionate wife Kathy Carpenter. The home
where they brought their three beautiful children; Christopher, Morgan,
and Keegan into their amazing world together. 13 Acer Heights Road...the
place where the fairytale story of Lloyd Carpenter will always lie.
Lloyd believed in teaching his family success and hard work, and he did
exactly that. He accomplished a dream that every man has; he owned his
own business, C&P Services, allowing him to successfully provide for the
family he created. He believed in teaching his family competition, being
the best they could be, and to go after their dreams. Again, he did
exactly that. He was Morgan and Keegan’s number one fan at every
sporting event they were involved in. He was their coach whenever they
needed advice, and most importantly, he gave them the strength, courage,
support, and knowledge to get them to where they are today. He raised
two children with his wife that will live everyday to the fullest, take
chances, accomplish dreams no matter how out of reach they seem, and who
will take the many life lessons taught to them and apply them to
life....All thanks to him....their father, Lloyd Carpenter.
Almost there...up the dirt road, .... the farm house on the hill ...
Simple farm house, with a simple door, but behind that simple
door...inside that simple farm house, lies a story. The story of where
Lloyd Carpenter came from. Son of two amazing, loving parents Nona and
Paul Carpenter. Brother of two sisters and a brother, Cheryl, Eric, and
Denise. A place where his father taught him the lessons of hard work,
pride, and the importance of family sticking together... Where a mom
taught him the importance of love and family values.
Finally he’s there...up the path to peace..into the arms of the angels,
lucky to be reunited with his son. Lloyd Carpenter walked into heaven
and joined his first son Christopher on the 20th day of June, 2012. This
will begin a whole new journey. Its time for him to continue to teach
Christopher like he taught Morgan and Keegan. Time for him to share
stories with him, about what an amazing life on earth he had....how many
people loved him...and how many lives were blessed to have him a part of
it. Time for him to make new memories just as wonderful with the ones he
shared with all of us here on earth, especially the memories made with
myself, my brother, and my mother.
The family
includes his wife, Kathleen (Kimball) Carpenter, whom he married on May
17, 1986; one daughter, Morgan Carpenter; one son, Keegan Carpenter; two
sisters, Denise Dalton and her husband, Chris Paine, Cheryl Peleggi and
her companion, Fred Lowen; four nieces, Layla Paine, Olivia Paine,
Gretchen Peleggi, Sonia Lowen and one nephew, Nick Peleggi.
He was
pre-deceased by one son; Christopher Paul Carpenter on September 25,
1995 and one brother, Eric Carpenter.
Friends may
call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Monday evening
from 6-8 PM.
Funeral
services will be held Tuesday morning, June 26th at Eleven
O’clock in the Grace River Church with Rev. Kevin Cross, officiating.
Burial will
be held on Wednesday, morning at 11:00 AM in Union Cemetery, West
Claremont.
