Matthew Francis Ferland, 32, of Pleasant Street, died Thursday afternoon, October 11, 2012.

He was born in Springfield, VT on March 5, 1980, the son of Victor A. and Cheryl Ann (Embair) Ferland.

He had worked at Wal-Mart in the Deli Department, Dunkin Donuts and Hannafords.

Matty’s passion was being the Captain of the Relay-For-Life Team at Wal-Mart Claremont and his family and friends.

The family includes; his father, Victor A. Ferland of Claremont; step-mother, Sandra Ferland; life partner, Jennifer Carchide of Claremont; one sister, Crystal Hallam and her husband, Jeremiah of Newport; one brother, Daniel Ferland of Claremont; maternal grandmother, Joyce Sargent of Claremont; one step-brother, Justin Hastings and his wife, Naomi of Grantham; one step-sister, Nichole Hastings of Norwich, VT; one nephew, Joseph Tarr; five nieces, Tapanga and Felicity Tarr, whom he had a very special bond with, Elizabeth, Brianna and Caitlin Hastings also several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was pre-deceased by his mother Cheryl Ann Ferland on September 14, 2008.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, October 17^th from 6-8 PM, at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, NH.

The family suggests that donations be made to the funeral home to help the family with funeral costs.
