Richard (Dick) Arthur Reed, Sr., 77, of Unity, NH died Sunday morning, June 3, 2012 after a sudden illness.

He was born in Pike, NH on August 27, 1934 the son of the late Freddie and Mildred (Cady) Reed and has resided in Ascutney, VT since spring of 2012.

Richard had served in the United States Air Force.

He had worked at O.H. Lewis Oil Company, as an oil burner repairman for many years, he had also worked at Lambert Auto Sales and Bond Auto Parts as a parts driver for a few years.

Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandson, Cory.

He married Linda Jean Loiselle on March 12, 1966 and they were married for 45 years.

The family includes his ex-wife, Linda Loiselle; three sons, Michael Reed and his wife, Cynthia of Charlestown, Richard A. Reed, Jr. and his wife, Bonnie of Unity, Roger Reed of Unity; three daughters, Patricia A. Reed and significant other, Gary Williams of Claremont, Helen B. Reed and significant other, Bruce Therrien of Claremont, Wendy R. Clark and her husband, Lester, Jr. of Brownsville, ME; two sisters, Yvonne Willey and her husband, Ralph of Alanta, GA, Evedene Darby of Haverhill, NH; one half sister, Mickie Dietsch of MT; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren also several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Beverly Spencer and two sisters, Geneva and Marilyn.

Graveside service will be held at a later date in Haverhill Cemetery in Haverhill, NH with military honors.
