Shirley Ann Lutz, 74, of 7 Heritage Drive in Claremont, NH, died Saturday, May 26, 2012 at her apartment following a brief illness.

She was born in Holyoke, MA on October 25, 1937 the daughter of Edward O. and Lena (Hupfer) Hanlon.  She had resided in Claremont for the past eight years and had previously lived in the Northampton, MA area.  Shirley had worked at the Kellogg Brush Company and the Sanitary Laundry Company for several years.

She was the widow of Richard Lutz who died in 1987 and was also pre-deceased by her boyfriend Ralph Ely on May 28, 2004.

The surviving family includes four  brothers, Lawrence Hanlon of Ontario, Canada, Eugene Hanlon of Largo, FL, Edward Hanlon and his companion, Ilona Murray of Easthampton, MA and William Hanlon and his wife, Chris of Bernardston, MA;  three sisters, Phyllis Rogers of  Northampton, MA, Mildred Towle of Newport, NH and Hazel Waller and her husband, Marc of Florence, MA; also numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and cousins.  She was pre-deceased by a brother, Ronald Hanlon at the age of 9 in 1953.

A graveside memorial service will be held Friday, June 1, 2012 at Eleven O’clock with Rev. William Imes, Officiating, in St Mary’s Cemetery in Northampton, MA.
