William Albert McLain, Jr., 77 of Jeff Drive in Charlestown, NH died on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at his home.

He was born in Jefferson, NH on November 9, 1934, the son of William A. and Francella (Couture) McLain.

He had resided in Charlestown since 1979.

Bill was a self-employed contractor and did general contracting.

The family includes his son, Allan McLain of Berlin, NH and Britt McLain of Charlestown, NH; his daughters, Kathryn Duchesne and Charlene Richards both of Berlin, NH and Bobbi-Sue Mainguy of Bellows Falls, VT; his brothers, Leo Laflamme, Edward Laflamme and Paul Laflamme all of Springfield, VT; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and his companion, Elaine Labounty.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Eddy and Billy and a daughter, Tessie – Mea.

There will be no funeral services.
