Barbara Ann Balch, 72, of Route 12A in Cornish, died Thursday afternoon, January 3, 2013 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

She was born in Jersey City, NJ on September 30, 1940 the daughter of William Albert and Elsie Hazel (Swartz) Berger.

Barbara had been the financial secretary for the United Church of Cornish for 25 years and was active with the Cub Scouts and Little League in Cornish when her children were young.

The surviving family includes her husband, William S. Balch whom she married on July 30, 1960; two sons, Jeffrey Balch and his wife, Katherine of Sunapee, NH, Russell Balch and his wife, Delia of Gulfport, MS; her twin sister, Carol Ann Brescia of Claremont, NH; sister, Lois Perasso and her husband, Charles of Evergreen, CO; grandchildren, Candace King, Mariah, Benjamin, Arlene and Maryanne Balch, Brieann and Taryn Bocko and Ashley Beaudry; great grandchildren, Raegan and Spencer King, Zander Bovin, Taylor, Emerson and Madelyn Beaudry; also many beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 6^th at Two O’clock in the afternoon at the United Church of Cornish with Rev. Dale Nicholas, Pastor officiating.

Graveside committal service will be held on Saturday, May 11^th at 2:00PM in the Trinity Church Cemetery in Cornish, NH with Rev. Dale Nicholas officiating.
