Elizabeth “Lisa” Poisson, 64, of South Main Street in Newport, NH died on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family after a sudden illness.

She was born in Claremont, NH on June 16, 1949 the daughter of Donald Francis and Agnes (McDermott) Morrison.

Lisa was a graduate of Stevens High School in the Class of 1967.

She was in Child Care most of her life.

Lisa loved spending time with her grandchildren and at camp. She was an avid reader and enjoyed the ocean. She always had a house full of friends and family and enjoyed celebrating the holidays.

She had spent the last 10 years traveling the world with her brother, Greg.

Lisa married the love of her life, Gerard Louis Poisson on July 6, 1968 and he died on September 16, 2002.

Her family includes her daughter, Loretta Greene and her husband, Gene of Newport; her son, Ross Poisson and his wife, Kristy of Newport; four grandsons, Kyle and Patrick Greene and Bryan and Matthew Poisson; her sister, Jill Lewellyn of PA; her brother, Donald G. Morrison of New York City, NY; also several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her sister, Diane Laramie.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Saturday, September 28^th from 10AM to 12PM.

Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home at Noon.

Lisa’s ashes will be joining her husbands at the Nubble Lighthouse in Maine at a later date.
