Elsa Grace Tierney, 94, died on Monday, July 8, 2013 at the Sullivan County Health Care in Unity, NH.

She was born in South Charlestown, NH on November 5, 1918 the daughter of Robert and Grace (Quimby) Bruce and had resided in Claremont since 1927.  She was a graduate of Stevens High School in the Class of 1937 and Concord Business College.

She worked for Agel Corman Furniture for 20 years as a credit manager and worked for H & R Block for 4 seasons.

Mrs. Tierney helped with the Scouts program, Youth for Christ Saturday Night Program.  She taught Bible Study Group and Sunday School and was a Deaconess of the Calvary Baptist Church.

She married Edward P. Tierney on September 20, 1953 and he died on January 21, 1993.

The family includes one daughter, Marcia Tierney of Newport; three grandchildren, AJ Gelinas, Crystal Peck and Billie-Jo Peck; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Irvin Bruce of FL also several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Bruce Tierney and a brother, Gordon Bruce.

A memorial service will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church in Claremont on Friday, July 12^th at 11AM with Pastor Stephen Cook, officiating.
