Evelyn Dora (Blake) Casella Provencher, 86, a longtime resident of Claremont, NH died Monday morning, February 11, 2013 at Woodlawn Care Center in Newport, NH. She was born in Wolfboro, NH on October 16, 1926 the daughter of the late Arthur and Emma (Ryan) Blake Stone. She grew up in Claremont and was a Stevens High School Alumnus. After high school she moved to Brooklyn, NY where she worked in her uncle’s diner and met her first husband, the late Angelo Casella. She later moved back to Claremont and worked at Sunapee Shoe Corp. and later at Tambrands. She was married to the late Henry Provencher. Evelyn was a proficient cook, seamstress and an avid reader. She was an altar lady at St. Joseph’s Church. Evelyn is survived by her children, Frank Casella of Tennessee, Michael Casella of Maryland and Carmella “Candy” (Casella) Iacovello and her husband, Michael of Massachusetts; four grandsons, Morgan Casella of Vermont, Brett Casella of Colorado and Casey and Matthew Casella of Maryland; she also leaves five loving siblings, Henry Blake of Claremont, John Blake and his partner, Joyce of Sutton, Albert Blake and his wife, Betty (McGowen) of Claremont, Arthur Blake of West Lebanon and Beverly (Blake) Perrin and her husband, Elliot of Charlestown and Summerfield, FL; her step daughter, Ann (Provencher) Ricker of Charlestown; three step grandchildren and their families; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. She leaves her special and dear friend, Patricia Cobb of Claremont. Friends and family may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Thursday, February 14th from 4 to 6PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 15th at 11:00AM at St Joseph Church on Elm Street in Claremont with Father George Majka, officiating. Interment will follow in St Mary’s Cemetery. |
